| Winter is no time to go without a muffler |

As winter winds blow, some folks wouldn’t be caught without a hat and gloves. On Jan. 22 at 9:50 a.m. a motorist was issued a citation in the area of Ferry and Fourth St. for not having a muffler.
The Le Sueur Police Department handled a bundle of other matters that same week.
Jan. 18
• At 11:45 a.m. the department took a report of graffiti in and outside the warming shack by the outdoor skating rink.
• An officer took a report of a car/deer accident on Kingsway Drive involving property damage at 7:15 p.m.
• An officer assisted the Mankato Police Department at 7:40 p.m. with locating an individual on an order for protection violation.
Jan. 19
• Citations were issued at 12:13 a.m. on State Highway 112 for driving with an expired license and no proof of insurance.
• At 1:40 p.m. an officer attempted to locate an individual on a gas drive-off.
• Citations were issued in the area of Ferry St. and Elmwood Ave. at 3:06 p.m. for having an improper name/address on a driver’s license and expired registration.
• Police were dispatched to a 911 hang-up at 3:20 p.m.
Jan. 20
• Notices were sent to residents of Morningside Drive and Second St. for violating city nuisance parking and storage ordinance.
• A citation for a window tint violation was issued in the area of Ferry and Fifth St. at 12:11 p.m.
• At 3:30 p.m. the department received a call from the school concerning two small children who possibly did not get off the bus on Kingsway Drive. The children in question were located and found to be okay.
• An officer took a report of a two-vehicle accident on Central St. at 5:15 p.m.
• Police assisted a motorist at 8:30 p.m. who had gone into the ditch on U.S. Highway 169.
Jan. 21
• A male party was arrested for DWI on Kingsway Drive at 1:19 a.m.
• At 7:50 a.m. an officer took a report of a school patrol violation at the intersection of Fifth and Ferry St.
• The department assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at 6:10 p.m. with a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 169 and State Highway 93.
• At 6:45 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the on ramp from Highway 93 to Highway 169 for a report of a vehicle blocking the road.
• An officer was dispatched to a parking complaint on Second St. at 6:55 p.m.
• A report was received at 7:30 p.m. of two vehicles on Fourth St. which had been rifled through, but nothing appeared to be missing.
• Citations were issued on Ferry St. at 7:48 p.m. for parking in a fire lane.
• Police assisted the state patrol at 8:05 p.m. with a vehicle in the ditch in the area of Highway 169 and Highway 93. A one-vehicle rollover was also reported in the same area. No injuries occurred in the incident.
• At 11:43 p.m. police were dispatched to a complaint of juveniles causing a disturbance at a business.
Jan. 22
• Officers were dispatched to a report of possible underage drinking at 12:30 a.m.
• Police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in a snow bank at 9:18 a.m.
• Citations were issued near the Highway 169 rest area at 3:29 p.m. for speeding and no proof of insurance.
Jan. 23
• An officer was dispatched to Conifer Terrace at 10:44 a.m. for a physical domestic. A juvenile male was arrested and transported to the New Ulm detention center.
• Police received a report at 4:02 p.m. of harassing phone calls and messages.
• Police advised a business about a disabled vehicle in the lot.
Jan. 24
• A citation was issued at the intersection of Second and Bridge St. at 1:31 a.m. for a stop sign violation.
• Police were dispatched to Second St. at 8:45 a.m. for a barking dog complaint.
• An officer assisted the St. Peter Police Department in looking for a vehicle involved in a gas drive-off.
