You can learn CPR.
All you need to do is sign up.
There are opportunities at Queen of Peace Hospital, St. Peter Community Education and periodically at several locations throughout the region.
Super Man wore a cape. The Lone Ranger rode in on a horse. By taking a CPR class, you will position yourself to be a real live hero. No cape or horse required.
If a family member, friend or co-worker collapsed from cardiac arrest, would you know what to do? Or would you be resigned to standing by and feeling helpless?
There’s a free Queen of Peace CPR session on Feb. 3. It was posted in area newspapers last week.
The folks at Queen of Peace say you could double a victim’s chance of survival if you know what to do.
The free CPR session, hosted by Queen of Peace and New Prague Ambulance at the New Prague Ambulance Garage, is 7-8 p.m. Feb. 3. It’s designed for those who most likely would never attend a traditional CPR course. It’s only an hour long. . To register, contact the Queen of Peace Education Department at 952.758.8187.
On Wednesday, April 7, there’s a CPR class 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the St. Peter Community Center ($69). This class will certify you.
Other opportunities to learn CPR will surely arise. Take advantage so you are ready to save a life if you are ever placed in that position.
