Ann Mootz — 1925-2010
Ann Mootz, age 85 of Le Sueur was called home by her Lord Jesus, on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 7 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.

Ann was born on January 19, 1925 in Lee Township, Nelson County, North Dakota to Anfin and Sarah (Amundson) Stordahl. She graduated from Finley High School in North Dakota. She married Milton W. Mootz on May 18, 1946 in Minneapolis. They lived in Chicago prior to settling in Le Sueur where Dr. Milt Mootz started his optometric practice.

She was an active member of the Le Sueur United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her involvement in the Monday Club and bowling league. She enjoyed reading and cross-stitching, and her winters in Arizona. She especially loved being with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Milton; daughters, Linda (Duane) Sarazin of Burnsville, Lori (Allan) Edeker of Prior Lake, Wendy (Dave) Gibson of Eden Prairie and Jane Mootz of Sartell; sons, Pastor Jerry (Roni) Mootz of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Dr. Jeff (Carin) Mootz of Le Sueur; 21 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Larson and Margaret Swartz and brothers, Curtis (Kim) Stordahl, Magnus (Phyllis) Stordahl and Marvin (Dianne) Stordahl; sister-in-law, LaVerne (Clifford) Wiese. She is also survived by special friends, Gladys, Marian and Marilyn and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers-in-law and 3
nephews and 1 niece.
